“Natasha was a wonderful host and teacher for our weaving class. The selection of weaving yarn was to die for, and she made the process so easy and fun! ”
In this three-hour workshop by Oklahoma textile maker Natasha Ball, set in the beautiful Prairie House studios and workshop in downtown Sapulpa (20 minutes from midtown Tulsa), you will learn the basics of woven tapestry and create your very own woven wall hanging. We will spend the afternoon working through basic weaving terms and techniques, including how prepare your final piece for hanging. We will also discuss how to use weaving for relaxation and well-being.
You will leave the workshop with one completed hand-woven wall hanging, complete with hanging kit and an instruction booklet. I will have additional weaver packs of yarn available for purchase during class; each will feature handspun, handdyed yarns by Natasha as well as local yarns and fibers, and students get 15 percent off. For ages 14 and older.
