In this class you can macramé a set of earrings (as shown), or you can macramé a sweet little necklace (photo coming soon), or you can macramé a little fancy fob for your keys. All supplies, including cord, beads, jewelry hardware, and an email copy of my take-home macramé how-to- booklet, are included in the class.

It's the latest crazy to hit the handmade textiles world: block printing! And guess what. I can teach you how, while also telling you funny textile jokes to make you laugh and laugh. 

We will use a variety of inks and printing blocks, some carved by Natasha, in combination with common, everyday objects to create a one-of-a-kind yard of fabric. 

One yard of fabric, ink, and all printing supplies are included. If you have an object you think would make a beautiful fabric pattern, and you're OK with inking it, bring it! 

The ink we will use is dry to the touch overnight, so please plan to pick up your projects the following Tuesday after class. This ink will remain permanent through the wash after curing for 7 days. 

Great class for beginners in fabric printing. Teens and adults. Space is limited to 8 seats.

Using LEGO and a variety of inks and other printing materials, kids are invited to create a one-of-a-kind half-yard of fabric to use in other sewing and art projects. 

One half-yard of fabric, ink, and all printing supplies are included. If you have an object at home that you think would make a beautiful fabric pattern, and you're OK with inking it, bring it to class! 

The ink we will use is dry to the touch overnight, so please plan to pick up your projects the following day the store is open. This ink will remain permanent through the wash after curing for 7 days.

In this 3-hour workshop by Oklahoma textile maker Natasha Ball, set just west of downtown Tulsa at the HSFN studio, you will learn the basics of shibori tie dye and create your very own natural indigo-dyed fabric.

One yard of undyed muslin is provided for each student. Feel free to bring a fabric piece or two in cotton, linen, or silk (no synthetics!) for this course, or garments measuring under 3 yards. Please note that a large part of this workshop takes place outside (sunscreen and insect repellent will be on hand but feel free to bring your own) and that access to Natasha's home studio is by stairs only. In this 90-minute workshop by Oklahoma textile maker Natasha Ball of House Sparrow Fine Nesting, you will create your very own handmade macrame hanging planter—all supplies included. 

We will cover basic macrame terms and techniques, including how to customize your hanger for any planter, how to decorate your hanger with knots and fringe, and how to hang your final piece. 

Students will leave the workshop with one completed plant hanger, complete with small glass planter, and a take-home DIY instruction booklet. I will have additional hanging-planter kits, which include cord, beads, hanger, and instruction booklet, available for purchase during class.

In this three-hour party-slash-workshop set in the beautiful new MADE store in Tulsa's downtown arts district, you will learn the basics of woven tapestry and create your very own mini woven wall hanging. We will spend the evening working through basic weaving terms and techniques, including how to prepare your final piece for hanging. 

And we will sip. And we will snack. We will talk and laugh and talk. Basically, we're about to be best friends.

Macrame is the art of making something beautiful using just a few, simple knots. These sweet owl wall hangings are just the right friends to show you how. 

Whether you are a beginner or experienced macrame artist, this owl is a quick project for a finished wall hanging that you can use to add that vintage, bohemian vibe to your favorite space. Make it as a gift for someone special, or keep it as a little gift to yourself. 

Beginning and intermediate macrame artists are invited — teens and adults.

In this 90-minute workshop by Oklahoma textile maker Natasha Ball of House Sparrow Fine Nesting, you will create your very own handmade macrame hanging planter—all supplies included. 

We will cover basic macrame terms and techniques, including how to customize your hanger for any planter, how to decorate your hanger with knots and fringe, and how to hang your final piece. 

Students will leave the workshop with one completed plant hanger, complete with small glass planter, and a take-home DIY instruction booklet. I will have additional hanging-planter kits, which include cord, beads, hanger, and instruction booklet, available for purchase during class. 

Pro tip: Wear comfortable shoes!

Grab your favorite crafty friend and enjoy a morning of free-range macrame at the HSFN Studio. Natasha will be on hand to teach basic macrame projects, to help you with your macrame problems, or to help you take your macrame to the next level. I will have macrame supplies on hand and for sale. I will also have brunchy eats and refreshments aplenty.  

Depending on weather, we will either be out on the deck watching the ducks or in the sunroom-studio—either way, wear comfortable shoes!

TEXTILE WORKSHOP, 5/13: Fabric Block Printing

Use a variety of inks and printing blocks, some carved by Natasha, in combination with common, everyday objects to create a one-of-a-kind yard of fabric. 

One yard of fabric, ink, and all printing supplies are included. If you have an object you think would make a beautiful fabric pattern, and you're OK with inking it, bring it! 

The ink we will use is dry to the touch overnight, so please plan to pick up your projects the following Tuesday. This ink will remain permanent through the wash after curing for 7 days. 

Great class for beginners in fabric printing. Teens and adults. Space is limited to 8 seats.

WEAVING WORKSHOP, 4/29: Mini Wall Hanging

In this three-hour workshop set in the beautiful Owl & Drum fabric and sewing shop on Cherry Street in Tulsa, you will learn the basics of woven tapestry and create your very own woven wall hanging. We will spend the afternoon working through basic weaving terms and techniques, including how to prepare your final piece for hanging. 

You will leave the workshop with one completed hand-woven wall hanging, complete with hanging kit and an instruction booklet. I will have additional weaver packs of yarn available for purchase during class; each will feature hand-spun, hand-dyed yarns by me as well as local yarns and fibers. 

If you have taken one of my weaving classes before and would like to learn some new techniques, just let the folks at Owl & Drum know when you sign up.

Cost is $55, all materials included.

The folks at Osage Hills State Park are providing a space for everyone to gather and share their passion and knowledge of their particular heritage Handcraft. Lace makers, spoon carvers, and bark crafters are just a few who will be joining me and Clara here, my spinning wheel.
