The workshop in west elm's beautiful Utica Square store in Tulsa was one of those events that is both elegant and laid-back—just how a summertime make-and-take should be.
I knew it would be. From the custom macrame rigs hung from the ceiling just for our class to the wine the store served up for us—not counting the festive atmosphere, thanks to the crowd gathering for the Summer's Fifth Night concert just a short walk away—it was a dreamy evening, to be sure.
Each of my macrame workshops begins with an introduction to the materials students will be using during class. I love to pack up all those cords and beads and how-to instruction booklets in these pretty take-home bags.
I love how they look like little super heroes. Macrame Liberation Hunger Force, away!
After some peaceful knotting and a glass or two of wine, everyone went home with a completed hanging planter, complete with vintage/recycled glass planter, all ready for hanging. Of course, west elm had plenty of pretty succulents to offer, and we couldn't have been happier to have these sweet plant babies join the party.
HSFN Workshops are held in Tulsa's most beautiful, see-and-be-seen locations. Check my workshops listings to sign up for the next class in your area.
